Our church kindly did a sermon series based around some of my songs in February, so I dusted off an old one in "Promises." The old recording doesn't sound very much like me anymore, so I tracked an up to date representation for the church website. Hope it blesses your ears and hearts!

Talented singer/songwriter from Minnesota, Michael Shynes, held a contest where artists from around the country could write & record vocals to the second verse of his song, "The Season," and Michael would then select a verse and corresponding artist to be a featured performer on that track. My (Alexander Webb's) version of the second verse was chosen and you can hear the collaboration just below.

I wrote this song years ago after being inspired by the great C.S. Lewis quote below, and just now got around to recording it. Hope you will listen, like, download, and share it if you can... thanks so much!

I sat down with my guitar and twenty minutes later I had this song completely written... they rarely come out that fast for me. I thought I'd layer a few more instrumental tracks on this, but after enjoying the first few passes playing guitar, cajon, and bass, I kinda liked the one take, live acoustic trio vibe... hope you do too
